Exempt Items - Exclusion of Press and Public. Certain items are expected to include the consideration of exempt information and the Cabinet is, therefore, recommended to resolve "That, in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded during the discussion of the matters referred to in the items listed below, on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information, as defined in the respective paragraph of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

Thamesdown Transport Limited - Update (To Follow) Minutes: The Leader of the Council, the Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Finance and Corporate Services, the Interim Director, Resources, the Head of Property Services and the Director of Law and Democratic Services submitted a joint report providing an update on the options for the future operation of Thamesdown Transport Ltd, which company is a private limited company formed in 1986 under the Transport Act 1985 to take over the bus operations of the former Thamesdown Borough Council (now Swindon Borough Council) and is wholly owned by the Council.
The Leader of the Council advised the meeting that there would be an embargo on Cabinet’s decision in respect of the matter under consideration until at least 8.30 a.m. on Friday 3rd February, or later if such requirement proved necessary.
Resolved – That the recommendations set out in paragraphs 2.1 to 2.15 of the report, including the amendment to paragraph 2.2 proposed at the meeting, be accepted. |
