Purpose of Committee
The Standards Committee comprises four independent
persons, five Councillors and three parish representatives, and is
responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct
within the Council, monitoring and advising upon Council Codes of
Conduct, and considering complaints that a Borough or Parish
Councillor or a co-opted member may have breached the
Members’ Code of Conduct. For
