Purpose of Committee
The Standing Advisory
Council on Religious Education (SACRE) is an independent body which
considers the provision of religious education in Swindon, advising
the local education authority and able to require a review of the
locally agreed syllabus for RE. The SACRE is made up of
representatives of the Local Education Authority, the Church of
England, Association of Teachers and Representatives of Other Faith
or Other Christian Groups.
