Purpose of Committee
To fulfil all the functions of an
overview committee as they relate to:

(1)

the review and development of
policy;
|
|
(2)
|
the management of
performance;
|
|
(3)
|
the monitoring of progress against
corporate priorities; and
|
|
(4)
|
formulation of advice for the Cabinet
and Council.
|
To have specific
responsibility for (but not limited to):
|
(1)
|
Housing;
|
|
(2)
|
Social Care and the delivery
of Social Services within Swindon (apart from those relating
exclusively to children);
|
|
(3)
|
Community.
